Mumbai, July 16 (IANS) Investigators of Wednesday's explosions in the city are examining the CCTV image of an unidentified individual suspected to have planted a bomb at one of the three blast locations.
"We do have a photograph at one of the locations through the CCTV, which needs more verification and investigation. Our teams are on the job to know who that individual is," Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Rakesh Maria told reporters here Saturday.
He said investigators from various agencies were probing the blasts that killed 19 people and "are confident of being able to do justice with the investigation".
He said that the CCTV footage collected from all the three blast sites was "grainy" and is being enhanced by experts. "The image enhancing may take 24 to 48 hours to have the clearer image of that individual," Maria said.
He said that investigating teams were in touch with police forces of different states, including Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
But he said it was "not fair to pinpoint" any particular group was involved in the blasts.
