Bishop of Mangalore diocese condoles victims of Balasore train tragedy

Mangaluru, Jun 5: The Bishop of Mangalore Diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha has expressed his deep shock over the loss of 275 lives and injury to over 1,000 people in the terrible train accident in the Balasore district of Odisha.

He said that he prays to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the souls of the deceased and solace to their families.

The bishop further said that he wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured in the tragedy.

A large number of passengers in 17 compartments suffered death and injury in the triple train collision, which took place on Friday evening.
