Shiv Sena : 'Shah Rukh has Shown Disrespect to Blasts Victims'

Daijiworld Media Network

Mumbai, Jul 17: Looks like the Shiv Sena Vs Shah Rukh Khan war of words is back among the headlines. King Khan, who has often been on the receiving end of Sena's ire over various issues, finds himself in a soup yet again, this time over a party he threw on the fateful night of July 13.

In yet another controversial write-up, Shiv Sena mouth piece 'Saamna' stated that Shah Rukh Khan, instead of showing sympathy towards blasts victims and mourning for them, was celebrating Katrina Kaif's birthday on the night of the July 13 blasts. He has shown utter disrespect to the victims, their familes and the nation, the paper said.

According to Saamna, King Khan was celebrating Katrina's birthday on Friday, July 15, with a private screening of her latest movie 'Zindagi na Milegi Dobara', even as three blasts shook the city.

Saamna also accused several other Bollywood personalities of indulging in similar actions, thereby showing disrespect and insensitivity towards Mumbai blast victims. Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Chunky Pandey, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar were the among the other stars who were celebrating the birthday.

The paper praised former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, for postponing the presentation of the honour bestowed upon her by the French Government on the day of the blasts.

Shah Rukh was not available for comments. But, earlier he tweeted that he enjoyed the super celebration on Friday night.

It is not the first time that Shiv Sena has targeted Shah Rukh Khan. Earlier Bala Saheb Thackarey had criticised King Khan for commenting on Thackarey's demand for excluding Pakistani cricketers from IPL.

    Hats off to Aishwarya Rai.

The Shivsena may be corrupt, evil, etc, etc. But what celebrity like Shahrukh Khan does is very wrong. He is a prominent figure in Mumbai and close to the heart of many and has a sense of obligation to Mumbaikars. Deeper in the heart, every one knows that the actors care a damn to the public/state. It is the money and name what is bothering them. That is it!

And we fools... are the "fans" of such people! Who will understand this?????

Even though it was not possible for SRK to skip this "all important, already arranged party," he should have atleast shown some respect to the blast victims, some of whom may even had been his fans. Atleast he should refrained from this senseless tweeting about the so called "super celebration."

I have read many comments against Mr. Thackreay, he may not have done anything for the blast victims, but has raised eyebrows on the behaviour of Shah Rukh Khan. writing on twitter and giving lip service isin't enough. I was in Toronto a month ago, during the IIFA Awards and had the privelage to be a guest at the event. Mr. Shah Rukh Khan was behaving like a peron out of the mental asylum. His arrogance and high headedness, has and will lead him nohwere.

Friends, just ignore shivsena. But see the attitude of the celebrities who are today shining because of all poor people of this country. But they are not ready to scarifice their evening parties and celebrations for the common public.

Today people are considered to be patriotic is they blame RSS and BJP and not by their contribution to this nation.

Stop this nonsense SHIVSENA. Stop doing meaningless things and criticizing others. The biggest fault is in urself. Everyone was shocked to hear the blast news and so was I. Does this mean that i should stop eating, playing, reading, watching movies etc. Tell me if doing the above things can stop terror or give sympathy to the victims. I dont think so. Instead, as a responsible person of civil society, we should be active everywhere. We should inform the police or the local authorities if we find any suspect. And last but not least,SHIVSENA:-do something rather than blaming others.... This will help u give sympathy to the victims...

I am not a supporter of Shiv Sena either, but I would definitely see things as it is and not with any masala. Yash in this case, I support Bal Thackarey's comment on SRK. No Indian can celebrate the night, when civilians were massacred. It was not 19 people, but 19 families who died that evening for none of their faults. Hope you could see things as it is and not through your disliking of Shiv Sena.

... Just a grown up kid, self centered, fame and name is gone to his head...
Bow your head in front of Allaha, Parents and Society - you will do well. Remember pride comes before the fall. You came with nothing to this city and this city gave you everything (i.e., Mumbai) Give something back to her. Let's start with respect. All the best, God Bless you. Good Luck :-)
