Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jun 6: The four people involved in case of illegal cattle transportation and had escaped, were arrested late night near Kalapu on Monday June 5.

The arrested are identified as Ahammad Irshad, Jafar Sadik and Fayaz from Ullal, and Khalid B M from Manjeshwar.

The accused had purchased four cows from an elderly lady at Amlamogaru and were transporting it in a mini goods vehicle bearing a Kerala registered number to Alekala, Ullal for slaughtering. A two-wheeler was following the vehicle. When the vehicle got some mechanical defect and was unable to climb up a road, three of them started to push the vehicle. When local residents went to help by pushing the vehicle, they noticed four cows tied and tarpaulin put on it. When questioned, the accused ran away leaving behind the goods vehicle, cows and the two-wheeler.

A case was registered under Cow Slaughter Act and Cruelty to Animals Act at Ullal police station on a complaint from a local resident.

Further investigation is in progress.

Disgusting . One of the promises as per election manifesto was to ban Bajrang Dal . This resulted in a tilt of votes from JDS to Congress. However now these guys are making the Bajrang Dal look like saviors and helpers of law. Wonder how Congress will justify a ban of this BD outit with such instances occurring on an almost daily basis . The irony is there is a 'common factor ' in all these cases.

Dear All Meat eaters of the twin districts: KINDLY THINK OF; THERE IS ONLY ONE SLAUGHTER HOUSE IN MANGALORE FOR THE TWIN DISTRICTS (I AM NOT SURE UDUPI HAS A SLAUGHTER HOUSE) AND THE MEAT EATERS OF BOTH THE TWIN DISTRICT ARE HARDLY MANAGING FROM ONE SLAUGHTER HOUSE AT MANGALORE. This is really a grave concern, unfair and illegal on the part of the meat eaters who consider slaughtering and consuming it's meat is not a sin. Presently, the people’s friendly Congress government is functioning in Karnataka. Both the twin districts people should put forward meat eaters demand to implement more slaughter houses, one each slaughter house in each taluks. The Graam Panchayat, taluk members, the municipality members, Corporators should be persuaded to pass the agenda of cow slaughter houses in the taluks and in the municipalities. THIS IS MOST IMMINENT DUE TO RISING PRICES AND THE INFLATION CAN ALSO BE CONTAINED TO A GREAT EXTENT. CATTLE MEAT EATERS SHOULD COME PUBLICLY AND PRESS SUCH DEMANDS WITH THE DISTRICT COLLECTOR /DEPUTY COMMISSIONER, ASSISTANT COMMISSIONERS AND THE TALUKS TAHASILDARS TO IMPLIMENT/TO ALLOW MORE CATTLE/COW SLAUGHTER HOUSES. WE HAVE NO OBJECTION IN THOSE WHO WORSHIP CATTLE/COW AND THOSE ABSTAIN FROM SLAUGHTERING AND EATING ITS MEAT. AT THE SAME TIME DON'T FORCE US/MEAT EATERS NOT TO SLAUGHTER OR NOT TO EAT ITS MEAT. WE OBEY THE LAWS OF THE LAND WITHOUT FAIL. ALL ILLEGAL/AKRAMA SLAUGHTER HOUSES MUST BE MADE LEGAL/SAKRAMA. PLEASE DON'T STEAL CATTLE. IT IS OFFENCE AND PUNISHABLE BY LAW.

It proved once again there exists God on this earth in many forms. Umpteen time illegal cattle traffickers faced some or other disturbances while carrying there act. It shows even God dislike killing of poor animals harshly.
