Mangaluru, June 15: Nitte Institute of Communication (deemed to be university) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Snehakunja Trust of Uttara Kannada district for the purpose of undertaking a cooperative initiative in conducting research on livelihoods and environment sustainability.
Prof Raviraj, head, Nitte Institute of Communication and Dr Ramachandra Bhat, president, Snehakunja Trust entered into a MoU by signing the agreement.
Prof Raviraj, head, Nitte Institute of Communication, Dr Ramachandra Bhat, president, Snehakunja Trust, Dr Nesara Kadanakuppe, associate professor, Dr Anisha associate professor, Prakash, assistant professor are seen.
The MoU conducts outreach / communication and community engagement through NICO. Both the institutes will conduct research on mutual interest, exchange of scholars and students, conduct cooperative symposiums, seminars, workshops and conferences and outreach and community engagement.
Presently, a survey of consumers of dry fish products and fish sellers to be carried by the students of NICO. Both the institutes can use the data collected from the survey. Snehakunja Trust will fund the students for the survey activity.
