Mangaluru: Student council members take oath of office at St Agnes High School, Bendore

Mangaluru, Jun 17: The solemn investiture ceremony was held at St Agnes High School on Saturday 17.

The ceremony commenced with a prayer service led by Preethvick Sai, Stanzil Pereira, Dhanush and Ashok followed by the euphonious sound of meaningful prayer songs by the singers.

The cabinet ministers along with the opposition party members marched to the rhythmic beats of the school band. The headmistress Sr Gloria AC read the oath of office to the SPL Sweedal D'Souza, ASPL Prajwal, and the leader of the opposition Rajith, followed by all cabinet ministers. She handed over badges and sashes to the newly inducted leaders. In her inaugural speech, the Headmistress congratulated the student council members and exhorted them to be constantly sagacious in their approach as leaders. She even urged them to follow ten leadership qualities every student-leader must inculcate.

Later, the opposition party members took their oath with dignity. The investiture ceremony concluded with the prayer song sung by the school parliament ministers, seeking god’s blessings in their journey as leaders. Maanya of class 10 was unanimously selected as the speaker of the school parliament. The program was compered by Mithali, Akash and Vittal of class 10. Teacher Dimple Quadros coordinated the investiture ceremony.
