Mangaluru, Jun 30: Rachana, Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a member meeting on Friday, June 30 at the Chefs Restaurant at Nanthur.
Prof C A Lionel Aranha, a renowned CA and investment expert spoke on the topic " Analysing Financial Statements, Unlocking the Secrets of Financial Data."
Aranha simplified the topic in a common man's language to ensure all those present understood the importance of the day's topic.
He insisted that one understands the financial situation and the know-how of any investment that one wishes to do and also that they do not get carried away by YouTube expertise or any other advisors.
"You study the market well, keep a close watch on the market and take a decision," he advised.
Other than Rachana Members, there were MBA students from various colleges in the city.
In the absence of Rachana president Vincent Cutinha, the vice president of Rachana, CA Rudolph Rodrigues welcomed the gathering with a brief note on the programme. Also, he mentioned that Rachana is heading to its 25th year. Rudolph mentioned about various programs including the Udyog Sathi program taken by Rachana in collaboration with St Joseph's Engineering College in Mangaluru.
Eulalia D'Souza, treasurer, rendered the invocation. Secretary Lavina Monteiro proposed a vote of thanks. Joint secretary Philip Pereira compered the programme.
Including the members and invitees, there were almost 60 people present for this programme.
