Kasargod, Jul 3: Heavy rainfall reported in most areas of the district in the past 24 hours.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert, indicating that the monsoon is intensifying and there is a possibility of heavy rain in the district on Tuesday, July 4.

As a precautionary measure, state-run, CBSE, ICSC schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Anganwadis, and Madrasas in the district will remain closed on Tuesday, as announced by District Collector K Impa Shekhar.

However, colleges will be functional as usual.
