Bantwal, Jul 6: A car crashed onto a roadside hillock after its driver lost control killing a young girl. Two others in the car escaped with minor injuries. This accident occurred at Ramalkatte on Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway.

Katijahana (20), daughter of Ibrahim, a resident of Puttur Koornadka, is the deceased girl. Her mother Sameema and driver Shaan escaped with minor injuries.

The incident occurred as the deceased Katijahana was going with her mother to a hospital in Bengaluru to get treatment for a certain allergy.

Due to heavy rainfall, the driver of the car lost control of his vehicle as he reached Ramalkatte and hit against the roadside hillock. The door of the car came off the vehicle due to the impact of the collision and Katijahana was thrown out of the vehicle. Though a critically injured Katijahana was rushed to the hospital, she died on the way.

Melkar traffic police personnel visited the spot and have registered a case.
