Bantwal, Jul 8: A supermarket that was inaugurated at JMJ complex at Addadabeedi in Vittal was shut down within hours by officials as no trade licence was obtained by the owner.

Madhava Ratna Big Bazaar supermarket was inaugurated on Friday morning at JMJ complex. In the evening, chief officer of Vittal town panchayat Gopala Naika and personnel went to the supermarket and asked for the trade permit from the panchayat. It came to light that the supermarket was opened without obtaining any licence from the panchayat. The officials immediately put the shutters down and locked the facility.

The advertisement banner of the supermarket was also displayed on the electricity transformer nearby. This was also removed by the officials as it is illegal.

May be question of 40%. Strongly suggest to investigate the truthiness. Whether license applied or not at all applied. If applied and delayed(Waiting for Passover push) then panchayat responsible, if not at all applied, owner oi responsible.
