Bantwal, Jul 9: A Swift car collided with an omni vehicle near Perla church on B C Road, Beltangady state highway. The omni car overturned, causing serious injuries to a passenger who was subsequently admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning, July 9, when the Omni car, driven by Royson, was on its way to the church with three passengers, including children. Meanwhile, a speeding Swift car driven by Adil collided with the omni car from behind as it was turning into the church.
The impact of the collision not only pushed the Omni car to a considerable distance causing it to overturn. The passengers inside the car were rescued by breaking the rear window.
Bantwal police visited the scene of the accident to investigate further.
