Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jul 17: All passengers flying through the international airport in the city should be careful about their baggage. If the baggage is left unattended, trained dogs will pick them up and then it will not be returned until and unless the same is checked thoroughly.

In addition to CC cameras and CISF personnel, now the international airport in the city is equipped with talented canines. The airport has four dogs which accompany CISF personnel at terminal, landing, parking and other areas of the airport. Any suspicious objects are checked by the canines.

At present, there are four dogs by the names Max, Ranger, Julie and Goldie. Out of them, Julie is a female dog while others are males. While Max and Ranger are Belgian Malinois breeds, Julie and Goldie are Labradors.

All passengers must ensure that their baggage is not left unattended. If the canine squad dog finds it, the security personnel may consider it suspicious. Moreover, the passenger will be subjected to interrogation too.

Ok , this may be a little funny but I need to share this. One time I was going to Hyderabad to meet my fiancé. He had pre-booked a meal for me which was a great gesture from his side as I was traveling from abroad . Unfortunately, he ordered some delicious sandwich . I really enjoyed the sandwich but my stomach had some other ideas which I wasn’t aware of. Long story short, eating that sandwich , my stomach wanted to land itself in the loo as quickly as possible just at the pace of the aircraft going for landing . So as soon as the plane landed in Hyderabad , I landed in the loo because there was no time to waste. Apparently, I was in the restroom for 45 minutes and I didn’t even realize. Obviously, I had the most famous thing nobody wants to happen- diarrhea !! My luggages were in the belt for those 45 mins with no one to attend them and they had confiscated the bags. Checked for any suspicious activity and found nothing . When I went looking for my bags, they questioned me as to why had I left my bags unattended. I said : My stomach acted funny and it was now or never. With plane landing, I had to land in the loo. Explained my plight. They laughed and let me go with my bags.

This is why many Indians are the most hypocrites in the world. They talk about india india and being Indian but- 1) want to own a BMW instead of desi mahindra. 2) want to buy Nike shoes instead of bata. 3) want to buy Rolex instead of titan. 4) want to wear jeans and T-shirt instead of kurta pyjama.. Etc etc

These canines have been purchased and imparted with professional training out of the passengers ticket charges for the time being at Bajpe Airport to control hera pheri jumlabaazi from ground and support staff. If it is a success, it will apply to all airports across the country. Cost cutting of manpower could be one of the primary reasons.
