Mangaluru, Aug 29: To unravel the hidden talents of young blooming students, Rosa Mystica PU College Kinnikambla organized a talent fest ‘Mystica's Got Talents’ on August 26 to showcase their hidden talents in the college auditorium.
The joyful event started by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song. Sr Gracy Monica, the correspondent of the college wished well for the programme. The chief guest Aravind Vivek, director of A V Studios and a good singer, musician, anchor and a recipient of various awards and Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, the parish priest inaugurated the event.
Sr Sadhana B S, the principal of the college welcomed the gathering.
Fr Rudolf Ravi D’Sa in his inaugural address called the students to open up their talents and participate wholeheartedly for the total development and growth.
The chief guest Aravind Vivek stimulated the students from his personal life experience. He highlighted the importance of leadership qualities and called the students to be a leader not the followers. Arvind was honoured for his numerous achievements.
The talents' day consisted of 19 events in which around 150 students actively participated. The competitions were drawing, solo and group singing, cooking without fire, face painting, nail art, mehendi, rangoli, essay writing, elocution, quiz, flower arrangement, solo and group dance, fancy dress, mime, mad-act, pick and act etc. Judges for the competition were Viran Cletan Veigas, an English Lecturer, Manuel Tellis, a musician. The programme was compered by Avil Renil D'Silva. Deepa Anchan proposed the vote of thanks.
