Bantwal, Sep 21: Two mobile phones of a police personnel who was admitted to government hospital of the taluk due to sickness are stolen.

Devaraj, head constable of Melkar traffic police station got admitted to ICU of Bantwal general hospital on September 17 and was under treatment. On September 19, he was shifted to general ward. When he was sleeping in the ward, his two mobile phones were stolen.

The act of stealing is captured on the CCTV of the hospital. It is suspected that the same person, captured in the footage, had asked an elderly woman in the same hospital a week ago, for a mobile phone to make an urgent call and took away the phone with him.

Photograph of the mobile thief is now posted on the walls of the hospital and anyone who comes across him are asked to report the same to the police immediately.

    I am sure policemen must be telling to themselves that nobody is safe here whilst safety and order is their subject of expertise..:-) Superficially, it is just a mobile. Consider banking app, otp, aadhar authentication etc., this is a major heist unless police have least faith in digital India.

    Firt of all police too was negligent in the first place.Who needs two mobiles when in intensive station is?Why dont you lock up or give off ,till you come back.Now you can only search with charge nr.He must have removed the sim and already sold.In hospitals one has to be careful
