All such horrible accidents happen because there are no strict rules and regulations to make the contractor accountable for the poor uneducated workers' death and critical injuries; this contractor should be taken to task and forced to pay adequate compensation to these innocent workers!!

Only experts in tree cutting should be given such jobs of cutting/trimming huge/old/risky trees! This incident has happened because cheap inexperienced labour was employed! BTW, there are a few experts in and around Mangalore who can cut any tree safely and securely, and they are in high demand even by the civic authorities! The contractor should be made accountable!!

Most of these poor workers from north India don't have any knowledge about such risky jobs of cutting trees, and people who employed them on cheap labour are to be blamed. There's no concept of safety while working on such risky jobs. Professional tree cutters charge very high charges. Our governments cares a damn on any safety regulations and moreover we are a over populated country with no value for human life. Sorry state of affairs but we are boasting on naming the places on moon........!!!????

Very sad.It meets always the poor.Who will compansate the family now? They hire people and make them work, without knowing the proper work where to start or end.Why they waited so long to start the work?Precautions should have taken not to hurt any Paedastrians or worker .May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to his family.

What do you expect in a place where 75% of the population is just struggling to stay alive. Yesterday 31 people including kids have died and another 70 are critical in a government hospital in Nanded; nobody knows the reason! I hope you are keeping track of all the injustice and nonsense going on around??
