Mangaluru, Oct 25: Popular Kannada actors Vasistha Simha and Haripriya celebrated their first Dasara festival together as a couple after their marriage earlier this year and paid a visit to Koragajja Kshetra which was meant to be out as a gratitude and a thanksgiving gesture.
"I am indebted and fortunate that God has given me Haripriya after being in love with each other for a few years. It is difficult to get whatever we ask but I am fortunate and indebted to god for this gift," said Vasistha Simha.
The couple paid a visit to Kallavu Burdugoli Kshetra and offered their prayers in the proximity of Koragataniyana.
"Whenever I visited Dakshina Kannada and returned without having darshan of Koragajja I would feel as if I was carrying a burden on my shoulders. The film Lovely is getting ready for release and a majority of the film's shoot has happened in Dakshina Kannada. I had wished to visit the Kshetra during the shoot but it was not possible then," he said.
Haripriya said her first movie was shot in the coastal region. She had debuted as an actor in a Tulu film titled Badi."This year, Dasara has been a special one for us. We celebrated Vasistha's birthday here itself and I can say that I am considered to be his birthday gift. We have been on a tour of all the temples in the coastal region during the Navarathri and we are indebted to all the gods and goddesses," she said.
Jagadish Kadri of Kadri Creators, Kumpala Krishna Janmasthami Utsava samithi president Ganesh Anchan, Naveen Kayangala, Purushottama Melanta, Prashanth Kayangala, Purushottama Kallapu, Ravi, Jnanesh Sanjay, Bhavish, Kaushik Sevanthigudde of Thokkottu Sai Parivar Trust, Shavith Uchchil, Prajwal, Bhavish and Kuthar among others were also present.
