Mangaluru: Two drug peddlers arrested, items worth Rs 14 ac seized

Mangaluru, Dec 5: Anti-drug squad police arrested two people on the accusation of selling narcotics at a public place of Santhosha Nagara of Permannur on December 4.

The arrested accused are identified as Shishir Devadiga and Shushan L.

The police confiscated a Swift car, 132 grams of Methamphetamine and 250 LSD stamp drug, RS 3.7 lac in cash. The total value of the confiscated goods is Rs 14 lac.

PSI Punit Gaonkar, Ullal station PSI Santhosh Kumar D, personnel Saju Nair, Mahesh, Shivakumar and Akbar Yadrami were involved in the operation.

    Criminals have no relegion true but previous goverment was intersrted in aresting and arraging only one community of drug pedlers last 5 years of their region not a single majority community pedler caught alone. Hatsoff to Siddaramyaah !

    They are either connected with one of the political parties or to the local goon who has good political connection. One of the counsellor was saying, first few days drugs are given free to the new commers, if students stop taking drugs, either they do not get sleep or they have headache, that time these buggers start charging them. First, they charge only Rs. 50, this will go for a week and then it will go up to Rs.1,500. Everyone knows about it but no one is doing anything about it.

    I don’t understand what kind of power is there in drugs? One can understand people going for drugs in dry countries like Iran and Saudi. Those who go for drugs in countries where alcohol is legal and cheaper are fools.
