Bengaluru, Dec 9: The 'Jingle Mingle 2023' event, graciously hosted by the Bangalore Konkani Catholic Sangh (BKCS), commenced with a captivating 'Cooking Without Fire' competition that saw enthusiastic participation from five teams.
The esteemed judging panel comprised Dale Raquinha, a renowned chef from Canada, along with esteemed past presidents Menderline and Jyothi, adding a touch of expertise to the event.
Under the meticulous planning of the Jingle Mingle planning committee, spearheaded by Dorine Rasquinha, BKCS joint secretary, the event unfolded as a splendid showcase of community unity. The event was held at the Grand Krishna Hotel on December 2. The occasion transformed into a joyous family day, brimming with delightful moments.
Commencing the proceedings, Jyothi led a heartfelt prayer, seeking divine blessings for the BKCS family's prosperous 26-year journey. The ambiance was further enriched by the soul-stirring carols performed by the talented Preran choir, led by the accomplished Steven and group. Adding to the festivities were a charming Christmas tableau and a spectacular dance performance by Tiya and her enthralling troupe.
Families from diverse corners of Bengaluru enthusiastically converged, infusing the Jingle Mingle Family Day with exuberant togetherness. BKCS president, Aida Margaret D’Cunha extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the large gathering, setting the tone for an evening of communal jubilation.
The keynote address by Fr Prashanth Fernandes resonated deeply, emphasizing the pivotal role of familial involvement in fostering betterment, advocating love, sharing, and the essence of joyful living. The distinguished presence of FKCA's esteemed past chairmen Sylvian Noronha, Valerian Fernandes, Victor Edward D’Souza, Anand Edward D’Souza, FKCA general secretary Leena lobo alongside an impressive assembly of BKCS past presidents, FKCA members, well-wishers, and the cherished BKCS family, added grandeur to the occasion.
A special felicitation ceremony honoured FKCA past presidents, BKCS presidents, and presidents from other Konkani Catholic Sangh, acknowledging their commendable contributions. Gratitude was expressed by Matilda Rego treasurer, BKCS, to Fr Prashanth, main sponsors Ronald Pinto, Sylvian Noronha, Valerian Fernandes, co-sponsors, donors, past president Sunil, secretary Peter, the dedicated Jingle Mingle core committee, and the supportive BKCS members for their generous contributions, ensuring the event's resounding success.
The evening unfolded with a diverse array of engaging activities tailored for all age groups within the community. Culinary delights crafted by talented community members delighted food enthusiasts, while the presence of secretary Natalie Rodrigues and cultural secretary Andria, embodying Santa Claus, became a highlight as children eagerly awaited their turn to interact with the beloved festive icon. Adding a thrill to the proceedings, the excitement soared with a thrilling lucky draw.
