Mangaluru, Sep 15: KMC Hospital Mangaluru has inaugurated a new Laboratory Sample Collection Centre, Urwa Anantha Arogyam Health Centre at Urwa, strengthening access to reliable and convenient diagnostic services for residents in and around the locality.
The new collection centre will provide access to NABL-accredited laboratory services from KMC Lab, allowing residents to avail themselves of quality diagnostic testing closer to home. The facility also offers home sample collection, making diagnostic services more accessible to senior citizens, individuals with mobility challenges and those who prefer the convenience of testing from home.



The centre is supported by qualified laboratory professionals and is designed to provide a convenient and dependable sample collection experience. Lab reports will be sent to the registered WhatsApp number, enabling patients to access their results easily without the need to make an additional visit to the centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Pramod Kunder, cluster director, Manipal Hospitals, said, “Timely and accurate diagnosis plays an important role in effective healthcare. With the new sample collection centre at Urwa, we aim to make trusted diagnostic services more accessible to the community. The availability of home sample collection will further add to the convenience, particularly for elderly patients and those who may find it difficult to travel.”
The KMC Laboratory Sample Collection Centre at Urwa will operate from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and is located at Urwa Anantha Arogyam Health Centre, near Government Indoor Stadium, Urwa Market, Mangaluru – 575006. For home sample collection and related enquiries, residents can contact 70222 51193.
