Beltangady: Friend bites nose during altercation at New Year party – Accused arrested

Beltangady, Jan 3: The youth who was accused of biting off the nose of his friend, during an altercation at a New Year party, was arrested on Tuesday January 2.

The accused arrested is identified as Rakesh (21) who bit his friend, Deekshith’s nose.

Originally hailing from Mudigere and currently residing near Marigudi in Pilya village, Rakesh works at a local shop.

The altercation took a gruesome turn when Rakesh allegedly bit Deekshith's nose during the party. Deekshith is currently undergoing treatment at Wenlock Hospital.

A formal complaint was filed at Venur police station, resulting in the registration of a case against Rakesh based on the allegations.

A team led by Venur sub inspector Srishaila J apprehended Rakesh, who was subsequently produced before the court.

    Nobel gesture by Rakesh towards his friend!!! Luckily he didn't bite any major part of the body. Earlier Mike Tyson became famous after biting ear of Evander Holyfield !!!
