Bantwal, Feb 4: The police successfully apprehended an accused, Ilyas alias Aane Ilyas (50), resident of Nandavar, who had been evading inquiry for a case filed eight years ago in the city police station.
The arrest was carried out on February 2 by HC Latif and PC Mallik Saab of the city police station in Bantwal.
Subsequently, the accused was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
