Beltangady: Recklessly driven truck mows down two pedestrians

Beltangady, Feb 4: Two individuals waiting for a bus met a tragic end when a speeding and recklessly driven truck struck them near Ujire on Sunday, February 4 afternoon.

As a man and a woman stood on the roadside near Gandhi Nagar turn, Ujire, a high-speed lorry negotiating the turn hit them, also causing damage to a building near an electric pole.

The deceased male victim has been identified as Kittu, a resident of Ujire, and further details are yet to be obtained.

    This and surrounding areas are topping the charts for (in)famous incidents, mostly so fatal vehicle crashes since the advent of 2024! The only Hope is from the holy Spirits and daivas of the region to grant protection to the innocent travellers! BTW; after straightening and broadening of roads, fatal vehicle crashes have increased multifold due to...... obvious reasons as these types of regular crashes are way beyond than any third world place 😞. Please note that the above is a very personal opinion based on my knowledge and perception; please do your own research and analysis before and do not blindly believe in anybody's personal opinions😞😞🙏🙏

    Recover damages from truck driver and owner. Then cancel his driving license. That's the only solution.
