Udupi: 'Accident-Free Driver' awardee Alexander Colaco passes away

Udupi, Feb 5: Alexander Colaco of Udyavar, an awardee of the ‘Accident-Free Driver," passed away on Monday, February 5.

He served continuously as a driver for more than 40 years in a private bus in Udupi and was honoured with the 'Accident-Free Driver’ award. He was 75 years old.

Known for his simplicity, he won everyone's heart with his witty words. Alexander was a city bus driver and retired from his profession a few years ago. Later, he also served as an auto driver.

The deceased is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, and a large circle of relatives.

    as the saying luck favours the brave...because of skills and bravery alexander must have driven for so many years without accident...considering his age the traffic was very minimal during those days..that is also one of the factors..and most of the cpc buses would never go beyond 40 or 50 kmph...anyway RIP Colaco Sir....enjoy your bliss in heaven....
