Mangaluru, Feb 5: In a bizarre incident reported from Ombathukere on the outskirts of the city, cricketers had to run for their lives as honeybees attacked them during a cricket match.

According to details, a cricket match was underway on Sunday near Ombathukere. The impact of a batsman's shot sent the ball straight into a nearby tree where a honeycomb was located. In response, a swarm of honeybees descended upon the ground, prompting all the players to flee for safety.

Residents of Ombathukere had organized a cricket match at Anila compound. The ball struck by a batsman landed on a honeycomb attached to a coconut tree. As the honeycomb broke, angry bees charged at the players, leading to a chaotic scene where everyone ran for safety. The match and the entire tournament were called off for safety reasons.

A video capturing the incident has since gone viral on social media.

Death is inevitable if more bees sting to human. Once I was also bitten oh no no it's terrible . All this happens due to deforestation and we cut big big trees for highways where the poor bees will build their nest?
