CM dashes off letters to all K'taka MPs, union ministers on injustice meted out to state

Bengaluru, Feb 6: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday has written personal letters all the MPs and also union ministers from the State on the continued injustice to Karnataka in the devolution of funds by the Centre and join the ruling Congress party’s protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Wednesday.

The Delhi protest at Jantar Mantar organised by the State government is apolitical and is a way to protest against the continued injustice to Kannadigas and also to protect their interests, the chief minister said in his letters and invited all of them, including those from BJP, to join to show solidarity with the State.

The chief minister, deputy chief minister, ministers and legislators are participating to register their protest, Siddaramaiah said.

Prizes to winners of essay contest on Gandhiji

Later, the chief minister distributed prizes to the winners of the essay competition on Mahatma Gandhiji organised by the state information and public relations department.

Chief Minister’s secretary Dr K V Trilokchand and information department commissioner Hemant M Nimbalkar were present.
