Kasargod, Feb 6: John D'Souza, a resident of Dharmathadka, who had been mysteriously missing for the past four days, made a sudden appearance in court, revealing that he went into hiding out of fear for his safety from his brother and a relative.

John D'Souza presented himself before the Kasargod first-class magistrate on Monday to shed light on the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

According to his statement, the Manjeshwar station police have registered a case against his brother George and a relative named Thomas.

John D'Souza had gone missing last Thursday, with his mobile phone and scooter discovered near Ambar, close to Naya Bazar, Uppala. His wife had filed a complaint with the Manjeshwar police, stating that John had left, claiming he was going to Permude on Thursday, and had not returned. The police had initiated investigations, suspecting a property dispute to be the root cause of the enmity.

Very big lesson; Ancestors should not leave any property behind, which is the root cause of deadly sibling disputes (many leading to mass murders) after their demise; children should be given good education and other support to take care of themselves and stand on their own feet! BTW; bigger the property bigger and deadlier the sibling disputes!!
