Bantwal: 18 absconding accused of Uttar Pradesh-origin arrested

Bantwal, Feb 7: The police successfully apprehended 18 accused from Uttar Pradesh who had been evading arrest and failing to appear in court for the past 5 years. The arrests were made in connection with a case under the jurisdiction of the Bantwal rural police station.

The individuals arrested are Piyush Kumar, Vinay Kumar, Briji Narayan, Ravindra, Kripashankar, Vivek Ram, Badda Ram, Nandini Ram, Kishore Kumar, Sham Bihari Ram, Premachand Ram, Satendra, Bhagwan Ram, Umesh Ram, Ras Bihari Ram, Bhagirathi Chaudhary, Sunil Ram, and Nandihala Ram, all hailing from the Balia district and Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.

Under the guidance of Bantwal rural police inspector Shivakumar B and PSI Harish M R, a team comprising PSI Murthy, head constable Ganesh Prasad, constable Yogesh, D L Vijay Kumar, and Suresh Uppara apprehended the accused in Uttar Pradesh.

Subsequently, the arrested individuals were brought before the court, fined, and the case was closed. It is noted that these individuals were previously arrested and released in connection with an illegal sand mining case.

    This is nothing but an effort to close case against local sand mafia. Police arrested them, brought before court, court fined them and here we go.... CASE CLOSED...
