Daijiworld Media Network – Kadaba (MS)

Kadaba, Feb 8: It has come to light that Sebastian (47), a resident of Nelyadi, allegedly cheated Kamadhenu Mahila Sahakara Sangha of Nelyadi and the Odiyoor multipurpose cooperative society of Uppinanagady by pledging fake golden bangles. Sebastian has also been accused of cheating the Alanakaru branch of Pattina Sahakara Sangha of the Vokkaliga community.

Sebastian, along with Danish of Kerala origin, obtained a loan of Rs 1.40 lac from Kamadhenu Mahila Sahakari Sangha of Nelyadi on January 27 by pledging four fake golden bangles weighing 30 grams each. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the bangles were fake. The manager of the bank, Chaithanya C H, registered a case regarding this matter at the Uppinangady police station.

On January 30, Sebastian pledged four more bangles resembling gold at the Pattina Sahakari Sangha of Alangaru and obtained a loan of Rs 1.35 lac. The branch manager, Revati, has filed a complaint regarding this incident at the Kadaba police station.

Subsequently, the same duo approached the Odiyoor multipurpose cooperative society in Uppinangady and obtained a loan of Rs 1.70 lakh by pledging five more fake golden bangles. The manager, Kamala, lodged a complaint about this with the Uppinangady police station.

Police are currently investigating the possibility of the accused individuals having defrauded additional cooperative banks.

Sabastian you first scheme & then betrayed people of other community who helped you when you required financial help, shame on you. Ask God He will provide. Even when you ask God, you don’t get I guess, it is because your motives are wrong, you want only what will give you pleasure.

Jossey S.Waterfront,is it a reason to decieve others ?When unemployed then let them seek a job or work in fields.Allwho are jobless dont go to bank and pledge gold.My first question is why did the bank varify the bangles? All three cases.Blind or blended of golden colour?Bank self is responsible for this.Same way the accused too must be punished for decieving. When left out ,they will continue their work further elsewhere.
