Mangaluru, Feb 29: The principal civil judge at CGM Court has sentenced a man to three years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000

The convicted Mahesh Pai, on June 18, 2023, had entered the Urva Devraj Urs Post Metric Girls' Hostel and stole three mobiles belonging to female students.

He was subsequently arrested under Urva Police Station Crime No. 51/2023 US 380. After being produced in court, a charge sheet was submitted, leading to the Principal Civil Judge (Sr Dn) at CGM Court delivering the three-year imprisonment sentence and ordering him to pay a fine of Rs 5,000 in this case.

    Why there's no security to the girl's hostel ? Anyone can enter the hostel ? My goodness its really scary. How come the management is soo negligent towards the safety of the students ?
