Late Parenthood Made Me More Focussed: Watts

London, Sep 28 (IANS): Actress Naomi Watts believes that not having kids until her late 30s helped her to be a better mother.

The 42-year-old has sons Sasha, 4, and Kai, 2, with husband Liev Schreiber and said she is glad that she waited until she had achieved the things she wanted in other areas of her life.

"I had a lot I wanted to do when I was younger, and perhaps I wouldn't have been as focused. I got a lot out of the way in terms of my own dreams," contactmusic.com quoted Watts as saying.

"You grow up and hopefully become more self-aware. I think I'm a better parent," she added.
