This eagerly anticipated gathering promises to be a spectacular evening of two-and-a-half hours filled with entertainment and unforgettable experiences. The gate opens at 5 pm and the concert will start at 5:30 pm.

With the leadership of Joseph Mathias, a well-known entrepreneur, social worker and propagator of art among, Konkani, Kannada and Tulu communities in the UAE and India, has initiated his vision of organizing the 17th Stan Musical Concert which is all set to steal hearts. Stanislaus Mendonca, despite being in the UK where Konkani speaking population is only minuscule, the first ever Konkani musical programme was held by the name of ‘Stan Nite’ in the UK on June 23, 2013. The ‘Stan nite’ was a great success and created a history of that sort. The show received the overwhelming support of the Konkani community in the UK and will certainly embolden him to do many such musical programs in the UK and in India in the coming years. Now it is his 17th concert in the UAE, Dubai.

The launch of poster and passes of the concert was held at Winny’s Restaurant and Confectionery, Dubai on March 8. Joseph Mathias, Lancy D’Souza, Ronald Martis, Dayan D’Souza, and Nelson Rodricks were representing the leadership of the Konkani community. Dayan D’Souza spoke on how the aspiring Konkani talents should be encouraged and continue the rich culture and tradition.

Joseph Mathias briefed everyone on why it was important to come up with the concept of the concert and how this concert would open the doors for a lot of Konkani talents in the UAE. The reason behind choosing Stan for the concept was to recognize the love, bond and dedication he has towards Konkani culture and community. His contribution to Konkani is immense even though he stays in the UK. He ensures he does anything possible to tribute his mother tongue. He also spoke about encouraging the new generation to take the Konkani culture forward, as many of the singers, musicians, artistes and dancers who will be performing at the concert. Joseph Sequeira and Arun Danthy will be taking charge of the concert.

Be prepared to be mesmerized by an incredible evening with an electrifying performance by ‘Sangon Mugdana Kalakar’. The audience can be ready to immerse itself in a world of entertainment with live music by ‘Band Scape’. ‘Tru Entertainers’ will make one witness a visual feast where every step tells a story, and every leap is an expression of emotion, promising a night of music that transcends boundaries. The gathering is guaranteed to feel the rhythm, let the melodies guide them, and lose themselves in the harmony of sight and sound.

The brilliant talent of the Konkani community, Dony Correa was also thanked.
