Mangaluru: Shabarimala pilgrim from city dies of cardiac arrest in Kerala

Mangaluru, May 19: Sandeep Katipalla (35), a resident of Katipalla Ganeshapura, died of a cardiac arrest while on a pilgrimage to Shabarimala in Kerala.

Sandeep is survived by his wife and two sons. He had undertaken the pilgrimage to fulfill a vow made for one of his sons. On Saturday, as he was climbing the eighteen steps to get darshan of Lord Aiyappa in the Sanctum Sanctorum, he collapsed and died.

Sandeep was the chief secretary of Nityananda Bajana Mandira and was actively involved in social work as a member of Seva Trust and Kesari Friends. He worked as a driver on an outsourced basis at MRPL.

    Very sad.I would suggest everyone who goes on such trip ,always do a medical test before.For security.It was very hot last few weeks.WHen such temperature ,and climb steps were may be too much for him.We cant always blame the vaccination.But have to take care ourselves to avoid.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.May his soul rest in peace.

    @Rita, what type of medical test do you mean? It sounds like a big joke! BTW; the jab ADR (sudden thrombosis) precipitated by the extreme heat wave (dehydration) could be the most probable reason for his sudden death....

    Rudolf R.Mumbai ,I mean a complete check up of your health ,from BP.blood test of any signs of cholestrol etc .EKG etc.Not that on the way you may feel sick .I agree what you say .But one can always be sure .
