Mangaluru: Radar surveillance to be implemented for enhanced traffic control

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, May 20: An ultra-modern radar surveillance system is set to be implemented in the city. If riders or drivers violate traffic rules, they will receive notices with proof of the place and time of the violation.

Motorists will need to exercise caution when riding or driving in the city in the future. The system mirrors those employed in Gulf nations. Radar cameras will automatically capture photos, and notices will be sent to the violating individual's WhatsApp number, along with an SMS to their mobile device.

The ultra-modern cameras will capture various violations, such as jumping signals, not wearing helmets, using mobile phones while driving, triple riding on two-wheelers, and not wearing seat belts. Overspeeding motorists will also be identified by the radar.

This ultra-modern traffic control system will be implemented in the second phase of the Smart City project. The first phase of the command and control center has been established at a cost of RS 14 crore, with nine crore reserved for operation and maintenance for the first five years. For the second phase, Rs 19 crore has been earmarked, along with Rs nine crore for maintenance. These ultra-modern radar cameras will be installed at 15 strategic locations throughout the city. Currently, the necessary poles are being erected at Ballalbagh, Kodialbail, and Besant junctions.

The second phase of the command control center is currently in progress. Artificial Intelligence and corridor management are being implemented in this phase. Traffic in the city will be controlled through the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS).

@ Eddy, How to save them from Sun's CMEs ? Which, as per divine message, God may use to knockdown Bill Gates' following quoted humanity enslaving satellite network surveilance system... "Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – Bill Gates’ company has 61,000 satellites that will be able to monitor every square inch of the planet /// Bill Gates has announced plans for a satellite network that will provide imagery and live video of “every inch of the planet” in virtually real time and at a resolution high enough to capture in “great detail” the activity of each of Earth’s seven billion inhabitants. https://qvive.in/world-news/robert-f-kennedy-jr-bill-gates-company-has-61000-satellites-that-will-be-able-to-monitor-every-square-inch-of-the-planet/ "

Dear Authority Members, Our city has 2 crucial weathers (Extreme Summer & Extreme Rainy). Request you to please install water proof/ heat proof covers on top of the cameras and not to leave the wires exposed to the weather. Otherwise the cameras will not even survive for 1 year bring the tax payers money to utter waste. Also bird waste can destroy our expensive cameras. Thank you for taking care.

What about vehicles turning right giving left blinkers (signal) at the junctions? Will this radar penalise these drivers?

Without providing most basic parking and other associated facilities like scientific design of roads, footpaths etc as required by the rules of the land, how can they charge unilateral fines based on machine analysis??

Saw on one of the Telegram channels, in one of gulf countries following facial recognition short promotion and no wallet required for transaction, like in communist china? Next if traffic fine is automatically deducted, it is not surprising!! That's how elite trying to enslave and control the whole world and humanity through digital and surveilance technology or these elite are pushing these technologies through governments worldwide ? "Imagine bragging about how the government can both track you and control your money ...... This isn't a flex https://t.me/SGTnewsNetwork/66994 "

What about the parked vehicles on the road? Only one lane is available for traffic in the city. Politicians are boasting about four lanes. But only concrete is put for the parked place to facilitate the rich owners of cars to park the cars. Because of this we can see the traffic jam. No one finds a responsible person in the city in any department.

Is it going to help at all ? Do we have basic facilities like pedestrian crossings ?? The zebra crossings are just painted but to cross those either we need lot of luck or help from Gods. No policemen or traffic volunteers to help children and elderly people. We don’t have foot paths / pedestrian paths. Where those exist are occupied by street pedlars, parked vehicles, stray dogs or garbage. It’s going to help only in collecting fines but not making our roads safe and efficient. During monsoon it only gets worse. Is it enough only collecting fines ? There are people who don’t mind paying fines as they have enough to waste. Prevention is the best way. Start it at the stage of issuing DL. In addition to driving skills driver’s attitude must be tested.

First 90% of the people in DK must be given driving lessons, including how to show courtesy to other road users including pedestrians. Secondly all the traffic lights installed in the city should work. Thirdly all traffic policemen/ women posted at intersections must actively control thevtraffuc, rather than stand in a corner with an mobile phone in their hands.

No use, only waste of money. Shieft the service bus stand, DC office, and RTO office, this Radar,, not atall necessary. Our MCC, and traffic Police who coming here for short turm, completely spoiled the Traffic system. When Modiji is visiting everyone is alert and good Traffic control, why not our traffic Police do like that everyday.????

Unfortunately potholes and gaps are ignored if detected in the radar surveillance, authorities are never fined for negligence and corruption-look at the billboard disaster in Mumbai, no action against any authorities, only we are at the receiving end.

For parking on footpath, we have to blame our MCC, They only give completion certificate for commercial buildings and they only give licence to have shops where parking slot marked. MCC and DC responsible for this. Now customer where to park the vehicles???
