Brahmavar, Jun 18: A rare black leopard fell into a well opened by Hemanike Krishna Naik in the Brahmavar taluk of Shiroor on June 14.
The presence of the black leopard stuck in the well was discovered on Saturday, June 15. Upon bringing this to the attention by local plantation owners Shekhar Shetty, they informed officials from the local forest department of its presence.
Immediately, the forest department officials and local forest rangers carried out operations to safely rescue the black leopard from the well. The black leopard, which emerged from the well, fled into the rubber plantation.
