Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises guest lecture for BBA students

Mangaluru, Jun 28: The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University organized a guest lecture on June 27 for the students of 2nd year BBA (aviation and logistics management), BBA (aviation management), BBA (aviation travel and tourism management), and 3rd year BBA (aviation management), BBA (aviation travel and tourism management). The guest lecture was on the topic 'Basic Food Hygiene Practices Followed in the Workplace and Food and Beverage Service Etiquettes' was delivered by the resource person Sharan Kumar Jeppu, assistant professor, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, Srinivas University, a renowned expert in the field.

The guest lecture was organized by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Sapthami Sharma, faculty, Institute of aviation studies, Srinivas University. Roshin K Sibi, faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University florally welcomed the guest Sharan Kumar Jeppu.

In his lecture, Sharan covered various aspects of food hygiene practices and service etiquettes, including the importance of personal hygiene and cleanliness in the workplace, effective communication and customer service techniques, professional behaviour and appearance in the food and beverage industry.

The talk was a resounding success, providing the students with a deeper understanding of food hygiene practices and service etiquettes. The knowledge gained from the session will greatly benefit the students in their future careers, ensuring they uphold high standards of hygiene and professionalism in the aviation industry. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Roshin K Sibi, faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University
