Kasargod: Woman dies from snake bite

Kasargod, Jul 4: A woman succumbed to a venomous snake bite at Kududapadavu near Paivalike in the district on Thursday July 4.

The deceased is identified as Chomu (64), daughter of the late Manku. The incident occurred around midnight on Wednesday.

Chomu awoke from sleep after feeling a biting sensation in her hand and immediately informed her brother.

Upon searching, they discovered a cobra inside the house. Although Chomu was rushed to the hospital, she could not be saved.

    Very sorry to hear this . May her soul rest in peace. Snakes in India are more in India in villages in rainy season. They come mostly to search rats and sometimes conflicts with humans. Our village doctors better keep medicine antivenom serum for snake bite if needed immediately.

    Oh my goodness....people should be very careful now a days. These snakes search the warmth place and easily get inside the kitchen/bath rooms etc . Om shanthi dear Chomu akka...
