Ullal qazi Fazal Koyamma Tangal passes away at 65

Mangaluru, Jul 8: Fazal Koyamma Tangal (65), who served as the qazi of Ullal, passed away on Monday at Ettikulam in Kerala.

Fazal began his service as the assistant qazi during his father Marhoom Tajul Ulaima Sayeed Abdul Rahiman Kunhi Koya Taangal’s tenure as Ullal qazi. In 2014, following the passing of his father, Fazal Koyamma Taangal took over the role of qazi. Additionally, he managed the Fazal Educational Center at Koora in Puttur taluk.

Fazal was admitted to a hospital in Kerala after falling ill and passed away on Monday morning, according to sources. His mortal remains will be kept for public viewing at Koora in Puttur at 9 pm on Monday, followed by burial.

Ullal Darga president Hanif Hazi, chief secretary Shihabuddin Sakafi, treasurer Nazeem Mukkcheri, vice president Ashraf Rightway, Hasainar, secretary Mustafa Madani, Nagara and committee members, former president Rashid Haazi, and Abdul Rasheed Zaini have expressed their condolences on the demise of Fazal.
