Mangaluru: Colour of love, smiles illuminate air at Mount Carmel Nursery

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 11: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru celebrated “Red Day” for pre-nursery and nursery children on July 10, to introduce the children into the mesmerizing realm of red colour. The red colour made the tiny tots feel bright, lively and cheerful.

Indeed it was Red…Red…. and Red at MCCS pre- school premises - red dresses, red roses, red balloons, red toys and to add to it a spectacular display of bulletin boards and corridors decorated with red things.

The ‘Red Day’ began with a prayer, a prayer song followed by little ones singing the Red Day song 'My Red Balloon'. Some children attired themselves as apple, strawberry, tomato, teddy bear, shapes, cherry, umbrella, cap, ball etc and gave a brief description about each object.

To learn more about the colour red, they took part in activities that involved crushing, tearing or dabbing of paper. All the kids participated actively and were excited to stick them in a given picture. Special snacks were bought by the children related to red colour and they had the joy of sharing them with one another. It was time to learn and share as well.

The tiny tots understood the significance of red colour, the colour of love and smiles and illuminated the campus at Mount Carmel Nursery section with energy, vigour and exuberance.
