Puttur: 23-year-old killed in bike-pickup truck collision

Puttur, Jul 13: A scooter rider was killed when his vehicle was hit by a pickup truck at Kolpe in Konalu village near Nelyadi on Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway 75 on Friday, July 12.

The deceased is identified as Pranam Kotian (23), son of Umesh K, a resident of Kodikal in Mangaluru. He was working as a medical representative.

Pranam, who was critically injured in the accident, was rushed to the hospital immediately but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Uppinangady police have registered a case in this regard.

    Most of the full face helmets restrict the "field of vision" , just carry your helmet to your ophthalmologist, test the field of vision with and without the helmet. When the field of vision is restricted one does not know if some other vehicle is approaching you.
