Mangaluru: Short circuit at MUDA office, smoke engulfs building

Mangaluru, Jul 24: A short circuit occurred at the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) office building on Wednesday, JUly 24 causing employees to flee their workplace.

The incident took place at the MUDA office located in Urwa Store, Mangaluru. The short circuit happened at the building’s main electrical junction board, leading to a fire.

The entire building was engulfed in smoke following the short circuit.

Firefighters from Kadri station rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire.

District fire officer Mohammad Zulfiqar, regional fire officer Ranganath, and staff from MESCOM visited the location to assess the situation.
