Kasargod, July 24: In a series of tragic incidents that have shocked the Kasargod-Manjeshwar area, three young men have been discovered deceased, each having apparently taken their own lives.

The victims have been identified as Gautam Raj (23) from Hosabettu Sasihithlu, Brian Pinto (20) from Kunjathur's Marian Ashram Church, and B Rajesh (39) from Moratnag Kekekodi.

Gautam Raj, employed as a video animator in Udupi, was residing with his mother at his uncle's residence in Manjeshwar Hosabettu. His mortal remains was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a room at home on Wednesday afternoon, despite efforts by neighbours to save him.

B Rajesh, a construction worker residing near his house in Moratnag, was found hanging from a nearby tree. The motive behind his tragic decision remains unclear. Sources indicate Rajesh was battling health issues and had even recovered leading up to his demise.

Brian Pinto left his Kunjathur home on a scooter late Monday night and did not return. His absence raised concerns among family members, and a subsequent search on Tuesday morning led to the grim discovery of his body hanging from a ceiling fan in his room. Pinto was employed at a private institution in Mangaluru.

Authorities from the Manjeshwar police station have registered cases in all the three incidents and have launched investigations to determine the circumstances leading to these tragic deaths.

Just cannot imagine the parents are raising their children's with so much of care and not sure how they face such situation. Heart goes to such parents there should be curriculum in school where they should teach that failures is part of life and one should work with passion and one would succeed in life. We should be taught about risk taking and perseverance.

RIP departed souls! Reportedly depression among the youth is on a dramatic rise due to various issues especially socioeconomic & environmental; depressed people have high propensity for addictions & suicidal tendencies!! BTW, in most of the cases it remains undiagnosed due to lack of awareness among the general population and even physicians! Please note that this is a very generic opinion; kindly do not believe in anybody's personal opinion 🙏

The reality of today's imbalance in social life. Parents need to be stricter like the ones in the 19th century. People unknowingly spend more than 4 to 5 hours on mobile, which adversely affects the brain. Life will not be easy anymore in terms of spending. Data shows that India's population will reduce drastically in another 100 years but will remain the most populated country in the world.

Suicide is not a solution to any problem. By committing suicide, they not only ended their physical life but also their soul. If they had thought a little about their parents, family, and friends, they might not have taken this step. They left their parents/family in sorrow.
