Karkala, Jul 31: A car lost control and crashed into an electric transformer, with passengers narrowly escaping a fatal accident near the Nandalike Board School.

The incident occurred near the Nandalike village Board School when a car traveling at high speed from Belman towards Kedinje lost control on a downhill curve. The vehicle veered to the right, colliding with an electric transformer pole and then mounting the iron guardrail installed along the roadside.

Four passengers in the car escaped with their lives despite the severity of the crash. The impact caused the electric poles to fall onto the highway, temporarily disrupting vehicular traffic. The car was severely damaged in the accident.

Karkala rural police visited the scene to assess the situation.
