Mangaluru: Srinivas University Institute of Hotel Management organises orientation programme

Mangaluru, Aug 1: The Srinivas University Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism and department of interior design held an orientation programme for the 2024-25 batch of students held at Hotel Saffron Srinivas on August 1.

The programme was inaugurated by the honourable chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao. In his presidential address, he stated, "Nothing is impossible; everything is possible when you set your mind to reach your goal and give your best to achieve it. Every day, there is a demand for food. As the population increases and people's tastes evolve, the hotel business continues to thrive. Prepare delicious food, attract customers with excellent hospitality, and entice them with beautiful interior design."

The chief guest for the programme was the honourable pro-chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr A Srinivas Rao. He said, "Students have more opportunities; you just have to learn to grab them and be successful in your life. In a hotel management course, students should know how to prepare, execute, and market. You will become excellent with the practical exposure you will get in our university."

Srinivas University board of governor’s trustee member A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, wished the students a fruitful student life. Srinivas University board of governor’s trustee member Prof Er A Mitra S Rao, administered the oath and advised parents to stay involved in their children's studies and activities.

Srinivas University vice chancellor Dr Satyanarayana Reddy introduced Srinivas University. Srinivas University development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar was present.

Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism dean Prof B Prashanth Prabhu welcomed the gathering, and department of interior design HoD Prof Yogeetha Pai gave the vote of thanks. The programme was hosted by Aqeefa and Shanelle Ruby Cutinha.
