Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (VP)
Mangaluru, Aug 13: The Daijiworld team celebrated the 50th episode of its popular show 'Nammura Mestru' on Saturday, August 17, at St. Agnes Mini Hall in Mangaluru.
Speaking at the event, Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld Group, emphasized the enduring role of teachers in society. "Although teachers may retire officially, they never stop educating the public. Teachers offer security to thousands of students worldwide and have made countless sacrifices. As a philosopher once said, honesty, respect, and gratitude are the most expensive things in the world, and those who lack them cannot achieve anything in life. Today's parents should understand that teachers are doing their work and allow them to do so."
Nandalike praised 'Nammura Mestru' for enhancing the reputation of Daijiworld TV, noting that it is a show where families come together, and elders share stories of their childhood with younger generations. He reflected on Daijiworld's journey, stating, "In 2007, Daijiworld joined YouTube, and when we look back at our old videos, we see our struggles. The youth today chase money, often neglecting their health, only to spend their earnings on healthcare later. In the future, we must bring teachers from all walks of life to the public's attention."
Retired teacher K P Alva expressed his happiness at the recognition given to teachers, saying, "This initiative by Daijiworld has brought us immense joy. Teachers symbolize honesty and hard work, and they never give up. We hope this channel continues to organize more programs like this, reaching every household in Dakshina Kannada."
Other retired teachers, including Narayan Nayak, Ravindra Rai, Rohini, Ratnawati J Bykadi, Aruna Nagaraj, Ramesh Pai, and Ganesh Somaiah, shared their gratitude and experiences, praising the impact of 'Nammura Mestru.' They highlighted the show's role in reconnecting them with their former students and bringing joy to their lives.
Ullal Mohan Kumar, a retired teacher and Bharatnatyam instructor, reflected on his journey in teaching and expressed his happiness at being part of the event. He noted that a significant percentage of Bharatnatyam dancers in Dakshina Kannada were his students.
Stany Bela, production director of Daijiworld TV 24×7, along with the 'Nammura Mestru' crew, including Kiran Kepu, Harish Konaje, camera operators Srikanth, Nithin, and Vinay Rai, and video editors, were also present at the celebration.
