Kasargod, Aug 20: The mortal remains of a 44-year-old woman, identified as Sharmila Shiva, was discovered in a well in the old Surlu area of Battampare on the outskirts of the city late Monday night around 11:30 pm.
Sharmila had been reported missing from her home, prompting a search by her family. The body was found in the well near their residence during this search.
Fire and rescue personnel from Kasaragod were summoned to retrieve the body.
Sharmila’s husband, Shiva, operates as an accounting office near Amai Road, where Sharmila also worked as an accountant.
The Kasaragod City Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
