Belthangady, Aug 25: Students of Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Beltangady, have brought laurels in Handball and Kabaddi tournament held on August 24.

School Literacy and Education Department and Block Education Department jointly organised cluster level Kabaddi tournament for higher primary boys in Government School, Koyyuru and taluk level Handball tournament for high school girls in St Theresa's school, Beltangady on August 24.

Primary boys Kabaddi team emerged winners in the cluster level and are qualified for the tauk level. Joshwa D'Souza was titled Best Catcher while Pranav was titled Best Raider.

High school girls Handball team emerged runners in taluk level with one point difference giving a tough opposition. Vashnavi was titled Best Shooter.

Students were accompanied by staff Blendin Rodrigues, Jonita Correa, Shanthi Pereira and Sneha.

Physical education teacher Girish trained the students well. Correspondent and headmaster have congratulated teams on their victory.
