Udupi, Aug 27: Senior Congress leader and former president of the Katapady gram panchayat, Vinay Ballal, passed away on Tuesday, August 27.
Vinay Ballal was an active social worker and dedicated Congress member. He served as the secretary of the Kaup block Congress and the Udupi District Congress for many years.
He was a four-time member of the Katapady gram panchayat and served as its president for one term.
He suffered a heart attack on Tuesday afternoon and passed away later in the evening at the hospital.
Vinay Ballal is survived by his two sons.
