Mangaluru: Inauguration of 18th batch of MSc software technology held at AIMIT

Mangaluru, Sep 2: The 18th batch of the MSc software technology program for 2024-26 was inaugurated at St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), AIMIT, Beeri, in partnership with Niveus Solutions. The event began with a prayer song by students Shravya and Yashawi.

Dr (Fr) Kiran Cotha SJ, Director of St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University), AIMIT, encouraged students to embrace every opportunity to develop into successful software professionals and be discoverers of knowledge. He also acknowledged the contributions of Niveus in bridging the gap between industry and academia. 

Shipra Rai, VP of people operations at Niveus, emphasized the importance of soft skills alongside technical expertise. Adarsh Prabhu, associate director at Niveus, highlighted key technical skills, including cloud computing, GENAI, and Large Language Models (LLM), encouraging students to participate in growth opportunities like GDG (Google Development Group) and GDSC (Google Developer Student Clubs).

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr S Ruban, HOD of MSc software technology. He also elaborated on the changes in the ecosystem that have been beneficial for the students of the department.

Earlier, Dr Hemalatha, dean of the School of Information Science and Technology, welcomed the gathering. Dr S Ruban delivered the vote of thanks, and Rithika Suvares, a final-year student of the MSc software technology, compered the programme. Aravinda Prabhu coordinated the event.
