Mangaluru: Holy Spirit English Medium School Mukka celebrates Teachers' Day

Mangaluru, Sep 5: Holy Spirit English Medium School, Mukka celebrated Teachers' Day to honour the teaching staff on Thursday, September 5.

On this special occasion, the school management, staff and students paid floral tributes to Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan whose birth anniversary is celebrated as teachers day.

During the programme the children entertained the teachers and parents with songs and dance. Children also enacted a drama which showed the importance of the day.

Fr Stany Pinto, the correspondent of the school appreciated the teaching staff and called upon the students to pay respect to their teachers by their obedience and sincerity. He then honoured all the teachers with a memorable gift.

Shanti Fernandes, PTA vice president of the school and PTA executive members thanked the teaching staff and gave them memorable gifts. They also conducted games for teaching staff.

The student council headed by Drithi presented a drama depicting the importance of teachers in the life of a student.

Simon Rodrigues, parish council vice president and managing committee members were present during the programme.  Shebeen proposed vote of thanks.

The entire programme was meticulously orchestrated by Sarika and Sr Swarnalatha.
