Mangaluru, Sep 13: St Theresa School organized an educational trip for class 9, from August 29 to September 3. The trip aimed to provide students with a rich blend of learning, exposure, and recreation. The visit to the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant was one of the highlights of the educational trip, offering students a rare glimpse into the world of nuclear energy.

Located on the southern tip of India, this power plant is one of the largest nuclear facilities in the country. Upon arrival, the students were welcomed by the plant’s officials, who provided an introduction to the importance of nuclear power as a sustainable energy source.

The visit commenced with an informative session explaining how nuclear energy is harnessed to produce electricity. Students were briefed on the safety measures employed at the plant, the process of nuclear fission, and how the power generated here supports India's energy needs. Finally, the trip brought the group to Kochi, where they spent a thrilling day at Wonderla Amusement Park. After several days of learning, the rides and water-based activities at Wonderla offered the perfect chance for the students to unwind.

This educational trip provided the students with a holistic learning experience, fostering curiosity, teamwork, and exposure to historical, cultural, and scientific insights.
